I offer a full diagnostic service for PC's and Laptops running Microsoft Windows Operating System's FREE of charge and this is normally discussed over the phone or in person via a home visit. Let me find the fault and quote you for the work and parts, giving you the chance to decide whether it is viable to repair.

I do not have a call out charge for the Hastings area, included in this area are: Rye, Bexhill, Battle, Robertsbridge and Northiam. I can still arrange a home visit outside of these areas, this does however carry a £15.00 call out fee to help towards travel costs.

Repairs and Upgrades:


At A B Home Computing I repair all brands and models of computer's,
from viruses to hardware damage, faulty operating systems, faulty Software and all the problems in-between.


I have nominal charges for singular component upgrades, including memory, hard drive, re-casing and operating system reinstalls.

Most repairs are charged at the flat hourly rate of £25.00 but each job is competitively priced individually and quoted for before hand so you have the chance to see the total cost including parts and labour, giving you the chance to decide whether or not you would like to go ahead with the repair.

Common Repairs:

  • Reinstallation of Windows: £60.00 add £10.00 for personal files/data backed up and restored.
  • Memory upgrade (RAM): £20.00 + Parts
  • Graphics card upgrade: £30.00 + Parts.
  • Virus removal: Depends on type of virus, prices range from £25.00 to £80.00
  • Laptop Screen replacement: £55.00 + parts.
  • Laptop Keyboard replacement: £30.00 + parts.
  • Computer Health check / Service: £40.00 and is recommended every six to twelve months, also if a scheduled health check is booked after the first service the scheduled health checks will be carried out at half the price.

New Systems:

At A B Home Computing I can help with the setup of a new computer system, including help with choosing the right Computer/Laptop, build a custom pc, setting up user accounts, installing additional software, anti-virus, internet connection, removal of all unwanted software that is pre-installed, transfer documents from old computer system, parental controls and everything you need to start enjoying your new computer system.   • Consultation: Free of charge. (normally discussed over the phone)
  • New Computer/Laptop setup: £50.00 and includes the Software service below. Add £10.00 for personal files/data transferred from old Computer/Laptop.
  • Software install (MS Office, Anti-Virus software, etc): £20.00 (does not include software)

Broadband setup:

At A B Home Computing I can arrange home visits for the setup of Internet and networks. I can help with everything you need from choosing the right broadband package, installing all the equipment, setting up the internet connection, wireless connections, security, networking laptops/computers/printers, file sharing and all the parts you need to get you online. I offer a Broadband Consultation free of charge and this is normally discussed over the phone.
